Michiel Driessen

At the age of fourteen, I was already spending time at Aerofilm. Especially when projects were being built, I was eager to be involved. The technical side fascinated me and I lended a hand whenever I could.

One of my very first jobs was for NKT. A complex air caster transporter had to be assembled. There was limited space to install a hydraulic cylinder, but I (being small enough at the time) was able to maneuver into position and get the job done. My interest in air caster systems was sparked from that moment on.

My curiosity and technical skills didn’t stop at work. You could always find me in the workshop; welding, working on mopeds and cars or helping out on the farm, either at home or at friends.

As my passion for air caster technology grew, I became more and more involved with Aerofilm. I joined the team on customer visits to assist with installations and maintenance. My technical studies aligned closely with the work at Aerofilm, making it a natural fit to complete my internships at the company that had already started to feel like family.

In 2018, a new chapter began. Michiel moved to the United States to set up Aerofilm Systems Inc. With his experience, knowledge and drive, he laid the foundation for a strong brand presence across North America. Since 2021, this effort has been supported by a network of skilled distributors, now also part of the Aerofilm family. Together, they bring our products and service to all corners of the U.S.
